LSD run for sure. Conversation pace suits me just fine. I have been told I could talk underwater with a mouthful of marbles (thanks a lot Maggie Man!).

What made you get into the sport?

I was bullied into it by a friend. I'm so glad he persisted. It's the best decision I've made in a very long time.

Interests outside of the sport?

I swear I used to have hobbies before I got into triathlons. I just can't remember what they are!
Last time I checked my car number plates I think they suggested that I'm a Dockers diehard.

What made you get into the sport?

I migrated to Australia 4 years ago and had just recovered from a knee  injury and was looking for something challenging, but with only straight runs. Family of friends introduced me to Stadium Tri. The excellent WA weather, welcoming members and beautiful training surroundings made me like the sport.

Interests outside of the sport?

My two kids and wife, travelling the WA outback, I just bought a canoe to paddle next years Avon descent, reading a book while enjoying the quietness after kids have gone to bed and Friday after work beers.

At a friend’s 21st birthday there was a small triathlon crew there who looked pretty fit and in my eternal quest for a six pack stomach, I thought it might be my chance… hahaha Also I enjoyed swimming and running when I was younger and thought cycling looked like a bit of a lark… plus I suppose a single 21 year old girl has to keep her options open and there were a few cute blokes in the sport!

What made you get into the sport?

My waist size hit 36 inch and the ex pence of 5 new suits was to grim to contemplate for any Scotsman. If only my wallet could have seen the consequences of that day's decision. 5 new suits at 30 inch plus a whole lot of toys, accommodation, travel, entry fees and an addiction to power bars.

Recovering in bed with compression tights, attempting romance with the traumatised wife. [She never signed up to this , she tells me. Wait till she returns home to the shaved legs and chest]
